The player must come off the field <em>first<\/em> before the substitute enters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Caution:<\/strong> Any abuse of the substitution rule will result in a Yellow Card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Specific League Rules<\/h3>\n<h4>Men\u2019s Open League<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Age &amp; Roster:<\/strong> Minimum age 19. Roster capacity is 20 players.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Draft &amp; Registration:<\/strong> Nelson Selects enter as a team. Returning players may register for their same team (by deadline). New players go into the draft. No refunds after the draft. Adding players after the draft is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Game Format:<\/strong> 11-a-side on a full field. Minimum 7 players required to start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playoffs:<\/strong> Players must play a minimum of <strong>3 games<\/strong> to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Substitutions:<\/strong> Unlimited subs allowed <strong>when the ball is out of play<\/strong> with Referee approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Women\u2019s Open League<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Age &amp; Roster:<\/strong> Minimum age 19. Roster capacity is 16 players. (Younger players admitted if capacity is not met).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Draft &amp; Registration:<\/strong> Returning players may register for their same team. New players go into the draft. No refunds after the draft. Adding players after the draft is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Game Format:<\/strong> 8-a-side on a half field. Minimum 6 players required to start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playoffs:<\/strong> Players must play a minimum of <strong>3 games<\/strong> to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide Tackling:<\/strong> <strong>Not allowed.<\/strong> It will be cautioned. Minimum 6 players required to start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playoffs:<\/strong> Players must play a minimum of <strong>4 games<\/strong> to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide Tackling:<\/strong> <strong>Not allowed.<\/strong> It will be cautioned. Adding players after the season starts is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Game Format:<\/strong> 6-a-side on a small field. Minimum 5 players required to start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gender Rule:<\/strong> Minimum of <strong>two female outfield players<\/strong> on the field are required at all times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playoffs:<\/strong> Players must play a minimum of <strong>3 games<\/strong> to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide Tackling:<\/strong> <strong>Not allowed.<\/strong> It will be cautioned.
