Competitive Development

From U12–U13, our program emphasizes fair play and the broad development of all players. At these ages, the focus is on building fundamental skills, fostering a love of the game, encouraging teamwork, and ensuring every athlete has the opportunity to grow in a positive and supportive environment.

Beginning at U14 through U18, the program becomes more competitive and increasingly focused on team performance and results. Pending Provincial Regional Playdown results, U14 + teams may advance to compete in the Provincial B Cup, with rosters determined by commitment, performance, and potential.

Commitment: This program includes entry into two tournaments (Nelson & Cranbrook). Many Teams choose to enter additional tournaments. Fees for extra tournaments are collected separately by the team manager.

Tournament playing time is earned through attendance and effort.

Required Equipment (Outdoor)

Required Gear

  • Footwear: Soccer cleats are required for traction on grass and turf. (No metal studs).

  • Protection: Shin pads are mandatory and must be worn underneath soccer socks at all times.

  • Hydration: Please bring a water bottle clearly labeled with the player’s name.

  • Safety: No jewelry (including earrings, necklaces, or watches) is permitted on the field. Taping jewelry is not accepted.

Insurance

Annual Insurance Fee In addition to the program fees listed above, all players are required to pay an annual BC Soccer Youth Insurance fee.

  • Coverage Period: April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027.

  • Cost: $25 (U4-U10) or $35 (U11-U18 & Adults).

  • Note: This is paid once per year. If you played in the Spring, you do not pay again for the Indoor season.

Refund Policy (Rep)

Rep Program Refund Policy

  • Before Registration Deadline (Jan 1): Full refund.

  • Jan 1 – Start of Practice: Refund minus $35 admin fee.

  • Start of Practice – April 15: 90% Refund (minus $35 admin fee).

  • April 16 – May 1: 80% Refund (minus $35 admin fee).

  • May 2 – May 15: 70% Refund (minus $35 admin fee).

  • After May 15: No refunds will be issued (except in exceptional circumstances approved by the Board).

  • Note: Customized Rep Jackets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
