Depending on the patient&#8217;s needs, comprehensive assessments use standardized tools to evaluate symptoms, balance, coordination, vision, cognition, and physical tolerance \u2014 across clinical, neurocognitive, and functional domains.<br \/>\nWe utilize advanced tools for Baseline and Post-Injury Testing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IMPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion and Cognitive Testing):<\/strong> The most widely used and most scientifically validated computerized concussion management tool available. It can be completed as a baseline and\/or post-injury assessment for children and adults.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SWAY:<\/strong> The Sway Balance Test is an FDA-cleared mobile balance testing system that reinvents the way patients and athletes are monitored for signs of balance-related dysfunction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Personalized Rehabilitation<\/h3>\n<p>Following assessment, individualized rehabilitation programs are developed to address each patient&#8217;s specific areas of impairment. Programming includes education and appropriate rehabilitation in the spheres of deficiency, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graded return to work, school, and important life role activities<\/li>\n<li>Cognitive rehabilitation<\/li>\n<li>Vestibular therapy \u2014 balance and dizziness management<\/li>\n<li>Ocular-motor and vision therapy<\/li>\n<li>Exertion-based therapy and progressive conditioning<\/li>\n<li>Manual therapy for associated neck and musculoskeletal symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Education and symptom management strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our structured, step-by-step approach ensures recovery progresses safely while reducing the risk of prolonged symptoms or re-injury.<\/p>\n<h3>Collaborative Care and Referrals<\/h3>\n<p>Some individuals may require additional specialized services beyond the scope of our clinic. In these cases, we work collaboratively with the patient&#8217;s family physician to coordinate referrals to appropriate specialists, which may include psychology or psychiatry, neurology, ophthalmology, or neuro-ophthalmology.
